DeLorean Alpha5 Electric car

The American car brand DeLorean, famous for the DMC-12 from the Back to the Future movies, showed the first images of its new Alpha5 electric car. The electric coupé has iconic gull-wing doors and will go into production in 2024.

In addition to the gull-wing doors, the design of the DeLorean Alpha5 has more elements that are a nod to the heritage of the iconic 80s brand.

The Alpha5 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in about three seconds and has a top speed of about 250 km/h. The car has a 100 kWh battery, that will provide a range of at least 482 kilometers. More technical details will not be known until later this year.
